North East	30 to 45	1 to 5	I wish the police would give out more speeding tickets. Speeding is the public safety issue that I am most concerned with and I hardly ever see cars pulled over on the main through streets for speeding. Linden seems to be the worst because not only is it a through street but it seems to be narrower than many of the other streets with 25 mph limits. I hope we don't have to wait for a tragedy before the speed limit is enforced.
North East	30 to 45	6 to 10	In times like these when most people get little or no raise, how can we be giving raises to our township employees that are many times the inflation rate. I can see paying for performance, but certainly everybody isn't performing at such a high level to warrant the types of raises that have been doled out this year.
North East	30 to 45	6 to 10	When we can buy items on a state bid price, why do we pay almost double, just so we can use a local vendor. ( such as tires for our town vehicles)

North West	46 to 60	Over 10	If you spend surplus to keep taxes down inorder to get public support it only comes back to haunt you. I favor regular small increases. My public services goes up yearly, seems other things go up, I don't expect a zero increase. School expenditures seem very high and also county, overall town taxes are small.

North West	46 to 60	Over 10	it would appear that money is spent on buildings and other things that I think the people of Verona should be voting on such as the new construction behind the municipal building or the tower behind the municipal building and the community center itself.
South East	30 to 45	Over 10	Far too much waste. Old boy network still rules. Too many special interests. It's who you know. Lower our taxes.

South East	46 to 60	6 to 10	I think that the money should be spent more wisely. I'd like to see a more forward looking council than we have now. How about some long and short term goals?
South East	46 to 60	Over 10	I am very satisifed that former and current council members have done much to control the less than 25% of the entire budget that they have direct control over.

South West	30 to 45	6 to 10	Capital needs should be prioritized,published and justified. Departments must justify capital purchases. Demand process improvements in departments on a month to month basis, and have the Town Manager complete Goals and Objectives.
South West	30 to 45	6 to 10	Overspending on middleschool field development. Concrete boxes originally placed at Bloomfiled/Lakeside Ave. only later to be removed because violated some code.

With the members of the Public safety Committee we are trying to implement Keep kids Alive Drive 25 program that will educate our town about the speeding issue. People will complain about speeding , however studies have indicated 63% of people speed in their own nieghborhood. It must change.
South West	30 to 45	Over 10	Hands are tied by employment contracts, but upon renewal of these contracts, it seems like nothing ever changes. I'm ready for drastic measures. The cost of benefits MUST be shared. Gone are the days of full family coverage at no cost, and the $5 deductible. If it causes a strike or other interruptions, so be it. Stop the outrageous spending.

South West	46 to 60	Over 10	Too many surprises in the 11th hour. No one is monitoring the budget on a day to day basis. The council spends without revieing the impact to the budget.
